the NAMs society"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p> <strong>The European Society of Toxicology In Vitro (ESTIV)<\/strong> is for already 30 years the leading organisation in Europe that strengthens the scientific network of&nbsp;<em>in vitro<\/em> and <em>in silico<\/em>&nbsp;toxicologists and promotes&nbsp;toxicology based on <strong>New Approach Methodologies (NAMs)<\/strong>, both scientifically and educationally in all countries of Europe. <br><br>Since the first European Meeting (International Workshop on the Application of Tissue Culture in Toxicology, July 1980, Soesterberg, The Netherlands),&nbsp;<em>in vitro <\/em>toxicology has aroused increasing interest in Europe, and a new scientific community has developed within this field. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Formally established in <strong>1994<\/strong>, ESTIV is a society that aims to\u2026.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"block-list\"><li>Promote&nbsp;<em>in vitro<\/em>&nbsp;and&nbsp;<em>in silico<\/em>&nbsp;toxicology scientifically and educationally<\/li><li>Encourage research and use of 3R alternative methodologies<\/li><li>Advance education and training of&nbsp;<em>in vitro<\/em>&nbsp;and&nbsp;<em>in silico<\/em>&nbsp;toxicology<\/li><li>Foster scientific exchange on&nbsp;<em>in vitro<\/em>&nbsp;and in&nbsp;<em>silico<\/em>&nbsp;toxicology<\/li><li>Strengthen the scientific network and facilitate communication between academia, industry and regulators<\/li><li>Cooperate with similar organizations and societies<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>ESTIV&#8217;s activities encompass:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"block-list\"><li>The international ESTIV Congresses organized every even year,<\/li><li>The organization of applied and practical educational and training courses<\/li><li>The organization and promotion of scientific workshops on a regular basis,<\/li><li>Distribution of information on <em>in vitro<\/em> and <em>in silico<\/em> toxicology<\/li><li>Support to similar organizations and societies worldwide<\/li><li>Attracting and integrating young scientists<\/li><li>Scientific awards and travel bursaries for early career professionals and students<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Click&nbsp;<\/strong><a href=\"\/membership\/\" class=\"ek-link\"><strong>here<\/strong><\/a><strong>&nbsp;to find out about ESTIV membership, benefits and rates.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.estiv.org\/content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/general-assembly-and-estiv-board.png\" alt=\"\"\/><figcaption>ESTIV Board &#8211;
