The European Society of Toxicology In Vitro<\/em> (ESTIV) will grant an Early career award to an outstanding European scientist The award will be given in recognition of an outstanding and significant contribution to the field of in vitro<\/em> and\/or in silico<\/em> toxicology.<\/p>\n\n\n\nThe Award includes:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
- \n
- A prize of 500\u20ac.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
- An award certificate. <\/li>\n\n\n\n
- An invitation to the ESTIV conference taking place in Maastricht with full registration waiver, coverage of travel and accommodation costs, and a guest lecture. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n
Application<\/strong>
<\/p>\n\n\n\nAt the time of the deadline of the application, eligible candidates must:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
- \n
- Be a member of ESTIV for at least 1 year.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
- Have received appropriate qualifications, such as a master’s degree, allowing to commence a PhD, but not necessarily have started a PhD yet.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
- Have less than 8 years of research experience following receipt of that qualification, which could be without a PhD, in the middle of a PhD or a fairly recently finished PhD.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
- Be officially living or working in Europe.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
- Be the single first author of at least 1 published research paper in the top 25% of journals (Q1) in the field of toxicology or other relevant area according to Web of Science.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
- Be a presenter of at least 1 oral contribution in a relevant international conference or scientific event.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
- Commit to attend the ESTIV 2026 conference taking place in Maastricht, the Netherlands.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n
The application dossier should contain:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
- \n
- A copy of the identity card mentioning nationality and date of birth.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
- Proof of permanent residence or employment in Europe in the past 3 years.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
- A Curriculum Vitae<\/em> including full affiliation.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
- A complete list of publications with indication of impact factors and journal classification (Q1-4) according to Web of Science at the time of submission of the papers.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
- A PDF version of the research paper(s) as first author.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
- A proof of delivery of (an) oral presentation(s) in a relevant international conference or scientific event.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
- Letter of support of 2 referees among which preferably the current supervisor and\/or former (master\/doctoral) thesis promotor.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
- A personal motivation letter.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n
The different documents in the application dossier should be sent as PDF files in a single mail to the ESTIV President (grants@estiv.org<\/a>) at the latest by 31 March. Evaluation of the application dossiers and selection of the winner will be done by the ESTIV Board. The winner will be personally informed by the ESTIV President by the end of April 2026 followed by the announcement in the ESTIV newsletter and social media.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
