Attention to the origin, quality, and composition of all the materials and reagents that are commonly used in&nbsp;<em>in vitro<\/em>&nbsp;methods is essential to ensure data reproducibility and reliability, as advocated in the Guidance Document on&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.oecd.org\/env\/guidance-document-on-good-in-vitro-method-practices-givimp-9789264304796-en.htm\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Good&nbsp;<em>In Vitro<\/em>&nbsp;Method Practices (GIVIMP)<\/a>&nbsp;published by the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD).<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>The survey<\/strong><br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Italian NGO\u00a0<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.oltrelasperimentazioneanimale.eu\/\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"ek-link\">OSA<\/a>\u00a0(Oltre la Sperimentazione Animale, Beyond Animal Experimentation), in collaboration with other partners, is launching this survey to understand what are the most commonly used animal-derived materials and reagents (e.g., animal sera, antibodies, etc.) in\u00a0<em>in vitro<\/em>\u00a0experimentation, and what is the current level of knowledge on available non-animal derived alternatives.<br><br><strong>In particular, this survey has been designed in order to get a better knowledge of:<\/strong><br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"block-list\"><li>What are the animal-derived materials and reagents most commonly used in&nbsp;<em>in vitro<\/em>&nbsp;experimentation;<\/li><li>What are the main issues perceived as associated with the production and use of animal-derived materials and reagents;<\/li><li>What is the current level of knowledge on available non-animal derived alternative materials and reagents for&nbsp;<em>in vitro<\/em>&nbsp;experimentation;<\/li><li>What educational and information sources could be useful or most impactful to disseminate knowledge on non-animal derived alternative materials and reagents for&nbsp;<em>in vitro<\/em>&nbsp;experimentation.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Who is this survey for?<br><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you are a professional\/student active in the human-health, animal or life science area at any level, or if you are a representative of any life science-related institution, please participate in this survey. <a href=\"https:\/\/ec.europa.eu\/eusurvey\/runner\/animal-derived-materials-and-reagents_OSA_Survey2020\" target=\"_blank\" aria-label=\"EU Survey - The use of animal-derived materials and reagents in scientific experimentation (opens in a new tab)\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" class=\"ek-link\">EU Survey &#8211;
