{"id":7922,"date":"2023-03-09T23:48:39","date_gmt":"2023-03-09T22:48:39","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.estiv.org\/?p=7922"},"modified":"2023-08-31T14:10:32","modified_gmt":"2023-08-31T12:10:32","slug":"two-estiv-travel-grants-for-participation-in-the-jrc-summer-school-on-non-animal-approaches-in-science-challenges-and-future-directions","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.estiv.org\/two-estiv-travel-grants-for-participation-in-the-jrc-summer-school-on-non-animal-approaches-in-science-challenges-and-future-directions\/","title":{"rendered":"ESTIV travel grant for participation in the JRC Summer School on &#8220;Non-Animal Approaches in Science: Challenges and Future Directions &#8211;  The winners were announced"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The European Society of Toxicology In Vitro (ESTIV), congratulates <strong>Julia Roosz<\/strong> and <strong>Ahmed Ali Samir Mohamed<\/strong> who have been selected as the recipients of the  ESTIV travel grant.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/in\/julia-roosz-450864220\/\" class=\"ek-link\">Julia Roosz <\/a>from University Tubingen, Germany, will present at the event her poster on Microfluidic Tumor-on-Chip to evaluate CarT-Cell based Immunotherapies<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/in\/ahmed-samir-mohamed-ali-659742217\/?originalSubdomain=de\" class=\"ek-link\">Ahmed Ali Samir Mohamed<\/a> from the Institute of Biotechnology, Technische Universit\u00e4t Berlin, Germany, will present an Abstract on 3D bioprinting of humanized xeno-free liver model.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The ESTIV travel grant is intended to support early career scientists and enable them to participate in the JRC Summer Schools.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"block-heading\">ABOUT THE EVENT.<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p>JRC Summer School on \u201c<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/joint-research-centre.ec.europa.eu\/events\/jrc-summer-school-non-animal-approaches-science-2023-05-23_en\">JRC Summer School on Non-animal Approaches in Science: Towards Sustainable Innovation<\/a>\u201c<\/strong>, is held from 23 May 2023, 10:00 CEST \u2013 26 May 2023, 13:00 CEST at the European Commission Joint Research Centre (JRC) site in Ispra (Italy).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The JRC Summer School is specifically tailored for post-graduate students (e.g. master and PhD students) and early-career scientists (max. 5 years after master\/PhD) working in the biosciences and will focus on non-animal methods and technologies and the opportunities and challenges associated with their application in various fields such as regulatory toxicology and biomedical research.
