Keynote Speaker: Dr. Jinhee Choi

We are thrilled to announce Dr. Jinhee Choi, Professor at the University of Seoul and Director of the Chemical Big Data AI Research Center, as a keynote speaker at ESTIV 2026 in Maastricht. A global leader in computational toxicology, Dr. Choi specializes in AI-driven toxicity prediction and Next-Generation Risk Assessment (NGRA), pioneering methods that integrate big data, mechanistic toxicology, and alternative testing strategies to improve chemical safety while reducing reliance on animal testing.

Her keynote, “Beyond the Black Box: Bridging Human and Environmental Safety via AOP-Based Explainable AI for NGRA,” will explore how explainable AI and Adverse Outcome Pathways (AOPs) can link human and environmental toxicology, enabling more accurate, biologically relevant chemical risk assessments.

Join us for this insightful session and discover how Dr. Choi is shaping the future of safer, sustainable chemical safety assessment.

ESTIV-ECN Mentorship Program 2026: Call for Mentees and Mentors

Applications are now open for the 2nd edition of the ESTIV Early Career Network (ECN) Mentorship Program: “Navigate Your Future.”

Following the 2025 edition, the ESTIV-ECN is launching its 2026 cycle. This program is designed to facilitate knowledge transfer between established ESTIV experts and Early Career Researchers (ECRs), focusing on the practical transition from academic training to specialized career paths in in vitro and in silico toxicology.

We have structured this edition into six online sessions, providing a deeper dive into:
- Professional Development: Building a global profile in toxicology.
- Strategic Career Selection: Navigating the crossroads of different career paths.
- Sustainable Practice: Managing work-life balance in high-pressure environments.

In addition, the program includes flexible sessions where mentors and mentees can explore areas of their choice.

Ready to advance? Applications are now open for both Mentors and Mentees. Join a community dedicated to the future of in vitro toxicology.

👉 Apply here: Click on this link

Participation Requirements

- Mentees: Must be ECRs (students or professionals within 10 years of last degree) with interest in NAMs and toxicology and an ESTIV member.
- Mentors: Senior ESTIV members with expertise in academic, private, or regulatory sectors.
