ESTIV: ERA4NAMs Survey – request for contribution

Dear colleagues,

The ERA4NAMs Working Group on Education and Training is conducting a mapping exercise to identify existing training activities, educational resources, and capacity-building initiatives related to New Approach Methodologies (NAMs) across Europe and beyond.

The survey, which takes about 12 min, has two complementary parts:

  1. Mapping existing training activities, educational resources, courses, programmes, and capacity-building initiatives related to NAMs.
  2. Identifying gaps, unmet needs, and areas where additional training and capacity building would be valuable.

The information collected will support the development of a comprehensive overview of the current NAM education and training landscape and contribute to future recommendations for strengthening NAM education, training, and workforce development within the European Research Area.

We kindly invite you to complete the survey based on your own experience and knowledge. We would also greatly appreciate it if you could distribute the survey within your national networks and to relevant colleagues, institutions, universities, research organisations, regulatory authorities, professional societies, and other stakeholders.

The survey can be accessed here: https://www.era4nams-euproject.com/ or directly via link: https://s.surveyplanet.com/1bon8mgo

We kindly ask you to fill in the survey by August 18, 2026
Thank you very much for your contribution and for helping us build a comprehensive picture of NAM education and training needs and opportunities across Europe and beyond.

On behalf of the ERA4NAMs Working Group 3,

ESTIV Secretariat
