COURSE GUIDELINES

1. Punctuality: Please make sure to arrive on time for all sessions to ensure a smooth flow of the program and maximize your learning experience.
2. Laptops: Participants are required to bring their own laptops. These will be essential for hands-on exercises and accessing course materials during the sessions.
3. Course Materials: A shared Microsoft Teams drive will be available to all participants. This drive will include lecture slides, course resources, and additional reading materials. Access details will be provided during registration.
4. Open Book Exam: The course will conclude with an Open Book exam. Participants are encouraged to review course materials available on the Teams drive and use their notes during the exam. Further details will be shared closer to the exam date.

Meeting point each morning

Participants and speakers will meet in the hotel lobby of Ibis Budget Paris Clichy Mairie each morning at 7:50, and we will walk together to the L’Oréal training venue (15-20 min walk). Please allow sufficient time in the morning to be in the hotel lobby at the agreed meeting time. Don’t be late!

🚄 How to Get There

By Plane

• From Paris-Charles de Gaulle (CDG): Take RER B to “Châtelet-Les Halles,” then switch to Metro Line 14 (direction Saint-Denis Pleyel) to “Clichy – Saint-Ouen.” Total travel time: ~50–60 minutes. Alternatively, a taxi/VTC takes ~30–45 minutes (estimated cost: €55–€75).
• From Paris-Orly (ORY): Metro Line 14 now runs directly from Orly Airport to “Clichy – Saint-Ouen” without any changes. Travel time: ~45 minutes.

By Train

• From Gare du Nord (Eurostar/Thalys/TGV arrivals): Take RER E from Magenta station to “Haussmann Saint-Lazare,” then Metro Line 14 to “Clichy – Saint-Ouen.”
• Most other Paris mainline stations connect easily to Metro Line 14, a very convenient option since the line was recently extended.

By Metro / RER

• 🚇 Metro Line 14 → Station “Clichy – Saint-Ouen” — about 3 minutes’ walk from the site. Line 14 conveniently connects Gare Saint-Lazare, Gare de Lyon, and Gare de Bercy directly.
• 🚆 RER C → Station “Saint-Ouen” (use the “Rue Victor Hugo” exit) — about 2 minutes’ walk.
• 🚇 Metro Line 13 → Station “Garibaldi” (~15 min walk) or “Mairie de Saint-Ouen” (~20 min walk).

By Bus

• Lines 173, 174, 274, 341 — get off at “Saint-Ouen RER” or “Victor Hugo – Sanzillon.”

Public transport tickets

Public transport tickets can be purchased through the Île-de-France Mobilités app or at ticket machines in metro and railway stations.

Airport journeys have specific ticketing arrangements. Participants travelling directly from Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport (CDG) or Paris Orly Airport (ORY) should check the appropriate airport ticket before starting their journey.
