This 6-day course will be organized on 16-21 November 2025 by the European Society of Toxicology In Vitro (ESTIV) at the Slovak Academy of Science in Bratislava, Slovakia and in collaboration with industrial partners contributing to hands-on sessions.

Welcome to our training course, where we combine expert-led lectures with interactive group exercises. The lectures encompass a wide range of topics relevant to regulatory, screening, and investigative in vitro toxicology.

During the course, participants will engage in group exercises featuring real-life case studies. These exercises allow you to apply in vitro toxicology principles in the assessment of chemical substance risks. Furthermore, attendees will gain hands-on experience in conducting in vitro tests for skin, eye, lung irritation, and gastro-intestinal effects. This practical component provides valuable skills. In the latter part of the hands-on training, the focus shifts to microfluidic systems, offering participants in-depth knowledge and practical experience in this emerging field.

An open-book exam will be organised at the end of the course.
