ESTIV and ONTOX signs Memorandum of Understanding

Scope of Collaboration

ESTIV and ONTOX entered into the MoU to jointly conduct the following activities:

  • to share appropriate information related to the activities in the field of research on NAMs to adequate target audiences
  • to jointly organise events with clear mutual benefits for ESTIV and for ONTOX.

The MoU has been signed on 19 October 2021 by ESTIV President, Dr. Helena Kandarova and ONTOX Project Coordinator, Prof. Mathieu Vinken (VUB).

ONTOX is conducting a research project in the context of the European H2020 Research and Innovation Programme SC1-BHC-11-2020 called “Advancing the safety assessment of chemicals without the use of animal testing”. The vision of the ONTOX consortium is to provide a functional and sustainable solution for advancing human risk assessment of chemicals without the use of animals in line with the principles of 21st century toxicity testing and next generation risk assessment.
