ESTIV travel grant for participation in the JRC Summer School on “Non-Animal Approaches in Science: Challenges and Future Directions – The winners were announced

The European Society of Toxicology In Vitro (ESTIV), congratulates Julia Roosz and Ahmed Ali Samir Mohamed who have been selected as the recipients of the ESTIV travel grant. 

Julia Roosz from University Tubingen, Germany, will present at the event her poster on Microfluidic Tumor-on-Chip to evaluate CarT-Cell based Immunotherapies

Ahmed Ali Samir Mohamed from the Institute of Biotechnology, Technische Universität Berlin, Germany, will present an Abstract on 3D bioprinting of humanized xeno-free liver model.

The ESTIV travel grant is intended to support early career scientists and enable them to participate in the JRC Summer Schools.

ABOUT THE EVENT.

JRC Summer School on “JRC Summer School on Non-animal Approaches in Science: Towards Sustainable Innovation, is held from 23 May 2023, 10:00 CEST – 26 May 2023, 13:00 CEST at the European Commission Joint Research Centre (JRC) site in Ispra (Italy).

The JRC Summer School is specifically tailored for post-graduate students (e.g. master and PhD students) and early-career scientists (max. 5 years after master/PhD) working in the biosciences and will focus on non-animal methods and technologies and the opportunities and challenges associated with their application in various fields such as regulatory toxicology and biomedical research.
